If you are insured in the Netherlands, the cost of both daytime GP care and GP emergency care during evenings, nights and weekends will be reimbursed by your health insurer, as it is covered by the basic package.
If you are insured abroad, you will in principle pay the costs yourself. You can claim these costs from your own health insurer with the voucher you receive.
If you have a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in your own name, you can use it for GP emergency care in the evenings, nights and weekends (ANW care) by showing it to our staff member. In this case, we submit the costs directly to your health insurer and you do not have to pay in advance. Based on your policy and your excess, your health insurer will determine which costs will be reimbursed and which amount, if any, will be for your own account. Please note: this only applies to evening, night and weekend care. During the day, you do pay the costs directly at the GP practice.
